The details facilities managers ask about
Break rooms, coffee spills, and chair-mat wear
Every office has the same few trouble spots. The carpet in front of the coffee maker and the break-room sink collects drips all day. Rolling chairs grind soil into the carpet at the edge of chair mats and along the front of desks. Printer and copier alcoves pick up toner dust, and the strip inside each entry door takes the grit that comes in on shoes. We give those spots extra attention on every visit, so the floor looks even from one end of the suite to the other.
Between visits, blotting a fresh spill with a clean white towel and plain water does more good than scrubbing or a strong spot remover from the supply closet, which can leave a sticky ring that attracts more soil. If a spot keeps coming back, tell us where it is and we will look at what is causing it.
Office moves, tenant turnovers, and remodels
The best time to clean office carpet is often when the space is empty. Before a new tenant moves in, after the old one moves out, or once a remodel wraps up and the dust has settled, we can reach every corner without working around desks and file cabinets. Property managers use that window to hand over a suite that looks ready on day one, and tenants use it to start a lease with a clean floor.
If furniture is moving in or out, plan the carpet clean for after the move so marks from dollies and boxes come out with everything else. For buildings with several suites turning over through the year, we can keep notes on each one so the next visit picks up where the last left off. Managing a whole park? Getting the office ready for an after-hours clean
A little prep the day of the clean helps us finish on time. Ask staff to lift backpacks, boxes, and power strips off the floor and to push chairs in at their desks. Let us know about anything we should not move, such as server racks, standing desks with cables, or furniture that is fragile or heavy. Share the alarm code, the after-hours door, and where we can park close to an entrance, and tell us who to call if something comes up during the visit.
We take pride in leaving an office better than we found it: chairs back where they were, doors locked, and a note on anything that needs another look. Ready to plan yours? Request a free office walkthrough or call (904) 437-3832.
