Upholstery Cleaning in Jacksonville, FL
Specialty sofa, chair, and seating fabric care for Jacksonville homes and workplaces, with lasting results. Family-owned since 2019 and proud to serve Jacksonville neighbors from Riverside to the Beaches.
Why Jacksonville seating needs specialty upholstery care
Southside family rooms, Riverside living rooms, Mandarin dens, Arlington rentals, and Beaches-corridor vacation seating collect body oils, pet dander, sandy foot traffic, and spill marks that surface wiping never fully lifts. Our lane is specialty upholstery cleaning, paired with specialty floor care, not a package-deal fabric spray from a general restoration shop. In older Riverside and Avondale homes we often clean the sofa and the living-room carpet on the same visit; see Riverside carpet cleaning.

Coastal grit, humidity & Jax housing types
Beach sand tracked from Jax Beach and Ponte Vedra, clay dust from inland Westside yards, and sticky Florida humidity all change how fabric soils. Ranch homes in Mandarin, townhomes on the Southside, historic Riverside pieces, and office reception seating downtown each need fabric-aware methods, not a one-bottle approach. We inspect first, then clean with lasting results.
Our Jacksonville upholstery process
- Inspect: fabric type, construction, and problem zones (arms, cushions, pet favorites).
- Match method: choose a cleaning approach that fits the textile.
- Clean & extract: lift soil out of the fibers, not just surface dust.
- Dry guidance: airflow notes so pieces dry evenly and return to use sooner.
Some dyes and aged fabrics have limits, and we explain likely results before work begins.
Homes, rentals & workplaces along the corridor
Residential sofas and sectionals, rental turnovers, and commercial lobby seating all fit specialty fabric care. Combine with Jacksonville carpet cleaning when traffic lanes and seating share the same visit. For hard floors nearby, see Jacksonville VCT strip & wax.
Beaches seating: sunscreen, salt air & sliding-door sand
Seating near the ocean soils differently than seating inland. From Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach to Jax Beach and Ponte Vedra, sunscreen and body oils transfer onto arms and seat fronts, fine sand works into cushion seams through the sliding door, and salty, humid air keeps fabric slightly damp for longer. Light performance fabrics are popular in coastal homes and they clean up well, but sunscreen marks often need more than a spot spray. We work the whole panel so it dries evenly, and we plan dry time around coastal humidity. For the floors in the same rooms, see Beaches tile and grout and Beaches carpet cleaning.
Historic homes & heirloom pieces in Riverside, Avondale & San Marco
Jacksonville’s older neighborhoods are full of pieces that have been in the family for decades: reupholstered wingbacks, velvet settees, natural-fiber and antique fabrics. These deserve extra caution. We check the tag (when there is one), test in a hidden spot, and look at the frame, the fill, and any past repairs before we choose a method. Some delicate or dry-clean-only fabrics are better left to an upholstery specialist or reupholsterer, and when that is the case we will tell you plainly rather than risk the piece. See Riverside floor cleaning and San Marco floor cleaning for the rest of the house.
Condos, high-rises & military moves
Southbank and Beaches condo buildings often have rules for service visits: elevator reservations, loading-area parking, and set work hours. Tell us the building’s rules when you book and we will plan around them. Military families moving in or out near NAS Jacksonville, Mayport, and Orange Park often want furniture and carpet cleaned in the same window as the move, either before the household goods arrive or right after they leave. Share your dates early and we will fit seating and carpet into one visit when we can; our Orange Park carpet cleaning page covers move-related carpet work.
What we don’t sell
Our focus is specialty floor care and upholstery, not daily janitorial service or rebuild work. Read specialty floor care vs restoration for more.

Seasons, recliners, and storms
Pollen season, screened porches, and lanai cushions
Late winter and spring bring a heavy coat of yellow pine and oak pollen to Jacksonville. It settles on screened-porch and lanai furniture first, then rides indoors on clothes and pets and works into the sofa closest to the back door.
- Indoor seating near doors and windows: pollen and fine dust gather in the weave and along the cushion tops, and light fabric can start to look dull or faintly yellow. We remove that dry soil thoroughly before any cleaning solution touches the fabric, so the powder never turns into a smear.
- Lanai and pool-area cushions: outdoor-rated fabrics stand up to sun and rain, but sunscreen, pool water, and pollen still build up. Many cushion covers are not meant for a washing machine even when they unzip, so we clean them in place.
- Timing: booking once the heaviest pollen has passed means your clean lasts through the rest of the year instead of a few weeks.
Between visits, a soft brush attachment over the cushions once a week during pollen season helps more than a damp cloth, which can press the yellow dust deeper into the fabric.
Recliners, sectionals, and motion furniture
Family rooms across the Southside, Mandarin, and the Westside are full of reclining sofas, power recliners, and oversized sectionals. These pieces need a slightly different plan than a simple sofa.
- Power recliners: motors, wiring, and switches sit just under the seat. We ask you to unplug the piece first, keep moisture away from the mechanism, and clean the fabric in controlled sections.
- Footrests and hinge areas: the fabric inside the footrest and along the hinge collects crumbs, coins, and pet hair. We extend each section so those hidden spots get cleaned too.
- Sectionals: when the pieces come apart, we separate them so the sides that face each other are cleaned along with the rest and the color stays even across the whole set.
Large family-room seating usually sits on carpet that works just as hard, so many Mandarin households book both together; see Mandarin carpet cleaning for the floor side of that visit.
When a storm or a leak reaches the furniture
Coastal storms, roof leaks, and burst supply lines are part of life in Jacksonville, and furniture often sits right in the path of the water. What can be cleaned depends on where the water came from and how long the piece stayed wet.
- Clean water from a supply line or roof drip: a piece that got wet recently can often be dried and cleaned once the room itself is dry. In the meantime, lift it off wet carpet onto blocks or foil squares and stand cushions on edge where air can move around them.
- Water that came in from outside: storm surge and street flooding carry contamination into cushions and frames. Upholstery that sat in that water is usually best replaced, and we will tell you plainly if cleaning cannot make it right to use again.
- Stains that appear after drying: brown rings can wick up from wood frames and fabric dyes as a piece dries. Call early so we can treat them before they set.
If water is still on the floor, the room comes first; see Jacksonville water extraction and our guide to the first 24 hours after water gets in. When the furniture is ready, request a free estimate, call (904) 437-3832, or email [email protected].
FAQ
Jacksonville upholstery FAQs
Do you clean sofas and chairs in Jacksonville?
Yes. We clean sofas, sectionals, loveseats, recliners, and dining chairs in homes and rentals, plus office, waiting-room, and church seating across Jacksonville, from the Southside and Mandarin to Riverside, Arlington, Orange Park, and the Beaches. Call (904) 437-3832 or email [email protected] and tell us what the pieces are.
Can I combine upholstery with Jacksonville carpet cleaning?
Yes, and many homes do. Cleaning the sofa and chairs in the same visit as the carpet means the whole room looks fresh at once and you only plan around one appointment. Ask when you book, or see Jacksonville carpet cleaning.
How do you choose a cleaning method?
We start with the cleaning code on the tag (W, S, W/S, or X), then look at the fabric, how the piece is built, the soil level, and the spots you care about most, and we test in a hidden area when a fabric is sensitive. Many pieces do well with low-moisture hand-tool extraction. Read our upholstery cleaning codes guide, then request an estimate or call (904) 437-3832.
Do you clean furnished rentals at the Beaches between guests?
Yes. Furnished vacation and short-term rentals from Jax Beach to Ponte Vedra put seating through sunscreen, body oils, and fine sand from many guests, and arms and seat fronts darken first. We can clean upholstery alongside the unit’s carpet to fit the turnover window. See Beaches floor cleaning and Beaches carpet cleaning.
How long does upholstery take to dry in humid Jacksonville weather?
It depends on the fabric, the method, and the day, and humid summer air slows drying. Low-moisture cleaning helps, and running the air conditioning with a fan moving air across the piece makes a real difference. We give you drying guidance before we leave, so you know when it is ready to use.
Do you clean antique or heirloom furniture in Jacksonville?
Sometimes. We inspect the fabric, the tag, and the piece’s construction and test in a hidden spot first. Some antique, silk, and dry-clean-only fabrics are better handled by an upholstery specialist, and if that is the case we will tell you before any work begins.
Can you clean furniture in a Jacksonville condo building or before a military move?
Yes. Tell us your building’s elevator, parking, and work-hour rules when you book, and share your move dates if you are relocating near NAS Jacksonville, Mayport, or Orange Park. We can often clean seating and carpet in the same visit. Call (904) 437-3832 or request an estimate.
Do you offer upholstery cleaning in Gainesville too?
Yes. We clean sofas, sectionals, and chairs in Gainesville with the same fabric-aware approach we use in Jacksonville. See Gainesville upholstery cleaning and every community on our areas page.
Can you clean lanai and outdoor cushions in Jacksonville?
Yes. Outdoor-rated fabrics collect sunscreen, pool water, and pine pollen, and we clean the cushions in place rather than putting covers through a washing machine. Booking once the heaviest spring pollen has passed helps the clean last longer.
Can furniture that got wet in a storm or leak be cleaned?
Often, if the water was clean and the piece was dried soon after. Upholstery that sat in floodwater from outside is usually best replaced, and we will tell you plainly which is which. If water is still on the floor, call (904) 437-3832 about water extraction first.
